1) Nothing (silence)
Sometimes the best possible thing to say is nothing at all, to be silent. Particularly in dating scenarios, the idea of saying nothing is heavily scrutinized, when in reality the ability to be with one another in silence can be quite profound and important. Before reacting, take a moment and identify whether what you are about to say is actually worth saying it. But don't stay silent for to long, as the ignoring game can turn into never talking again.
2) I Understand/Feel Where You Are Coming From
Sometimes you have to let them know you understand what they are going thorough or problems you may have with one another. Rather than seeing this as an opportunity to get fired up and argue, and fight, look to understand where they are coming from and be supportive.
3) I Appreciate You/ Thank You
This one should be relatively self-explanatory, but remember that gratitude goes a long way and can do a lot for the person on the receiving end.. We all regularly receive things (both big and small) that we should be grateful for! Letting the one you love know you appreciate them will always be special. We should be grateful for everyone who is in our lives or who has taught us a lesson.
4) Say HI!
We live in a world where the majority of us are lost in our phones. Rather than contributing to this sad fact, look to connect with other people with something as simple as saying hi. You may come across some awkward moments and reactions while doing this, but you may also be pleasantly surprised by how much this can brighten the day of some people and make you feel good. Forget writing instagram, facebook and twitter comments and go outside and say HI!
5) You Can Learn From This
We’ve all heard the saying what doesn't kill you makes you stronger .. As much as this can be hard to believe at times, it definitely is true, If someone you are close to is going through a tough time, be that comforting shoulder that they need. I can for sure say I have learnt from so many experiences bad and good... infact everyone I have come across in my life has taught me things I still use today.
Hope you all take something good from this! Felt I had to write this for so many reasons.
